Rio?

When we were instructed to leave four of our bags at the gate because the overhead bins were full, Steve quipped "Make sure those tags say Rome, not Rio!" We arrived at the baggage claim and all four bags were lost. After stopping at H & M for the essentials, we were on our way. Three bags made it back to Rome, but Steve's could be anywhere. Even Rio.

A different Landscape

After two months on Utah's slopes, we turned in our skis for a nine passenger Renault van in Italy. Jonathan picked up black diamonds, with Emilie and Annelise not far behind. Ezra and Sophia, who were new to the slopes, turned out to be fearless, barreling down the hills, with me trying to catch up behind.
These days their focus has changed to Grazies and Ciaos and recalling all the European history and culture lessons that we have studied over the past few months.
